Wisdom Teeth Removal & Oral Surgery
Proven Care from Dedicated Albuquerque Family Dentists
You probably know someone among your friends and family who has had their wisdom teeth removed. These molars are in the very back of our mouths and are the last adult teeth to erupt. Because of this, our mouths rarely have room for them, which means painful symptoms can develop and extraction is likely necessary.
Tooth extraction may sound scary, but for our experienced Albuquerque dentists, it's a routine procedure patients can feel confident about. If you are experiencing impacted wisdom tooth symptoms, Dental House is ready to hear from you. Our dentists are ready to assess your wisdom teeth and recommend the best course of action towards securing you lasting relief.

Wisdom Tooth Extraction
Wisdom teeth are the final adult molars to erupt at the very back of our mouths, usually in our late teens to mid-twenties. Because of their late arrival, it is common for our mouths not to have room for these teeth and they can remain impacted (embedded in our gums). When this occurs, patients can start to experience symptoms.
Common impacted wisdom tooth symptoms include:
- Pain (gums, jaw, etc.)
- Bleeding gums
- Swelling around the jaw
- Bad breath
In some cases, patients may not be experiencing symptoms but can start to feel their wisdom teeth protruding from their gums at the back of their mouth. All of these can be signs that it's time to extract your wisdom teeth. Left untreated, impacted wisdom teeth can lead to gum disease, unwanted movement in your other teeth, and worsening symptoms.
